In her final attempt, freestyle superstar Eileen Gut finally snatched her long-awaited gold medal at the Winter Olympics in northern Italy.

Gu was under pressure at the start of the competition; after problems with her first trick in the first run, she initially only managed eighth place. In her second attempt, she then showed her full potential and took the lead, before improving her score by another 0.75 points in the third run.
