Clinical Psychologists with Lived Experience: BPS statements and current obstacles

Описание к видео Clinical Psychologists with Lived Experience: BPS statements and current obstacles

Clinical Psychologists actually experience mental health difficulties themselves! WHODA THUNK. But in all seriousness, the BPS (British Psychological Society) recently published two very exciting articles about lived experience amongst clinical psychologists and guidelines for supporting trainee clinical psychologists.

In this video I will be discussing the two documents and will then go onto think about some of the ongoing challenges pre-training, when you're a trainee clinical psychologist, and when you are qualified, that can make talking about mental health really difficult.

P.S. Thanks to the amazing @lucymountain for the introduction inspo ;)

ABOUT ME:
Hello! My name is Miranda and I am a second year Trainee Clinical Psychologist. Every Sunday at 2PM I like to talk about clinical psychology and mental health. I talk about these things sometimes seriously and sometimes less seriously, but always with the intention of making you smile!

ABOUT DEBATE NOT HATE:
I have started a monthly youtube series where I talk about current issues in clinical psychology. These will be based off my own reading and research, where I will present my opinions on a given subject. These are never finished articles, so I encourage you to bring differing opinions and do your own research as well :)
