Manchester, Bolton, and Bury Canal: Radcliffe to Elton Reservoir

This is a video filmed on Saturday 24th May 2008 and follows Steven Parker (The founder of the Manchester, Bolton, and Bury Canal Society) along the canal from Water Street in Radcliffe to Elton Reservoir in Bury, where the canal becomes infilled.

For me it's quite poignant revisiting this footage which was shot more than a quarter of a lifetime ago for me. When the Coronavirus lockdown has finished Steven and I will revisit this section of canal to see what has changed in 12 years.

This video used a piece of music I composed several years ago and forgot about. It is called "Broken Umbrellas" an can be heard from 1m 57s onwards. I think it fits the images quite well.
