For everyone wondering why next month felt so dead…it’s cause I wanted Ghost Zone haha. Plus, the fact that it’s Cynthia as well also made a pretty compelling case. I think after over year she’s kinda been getting more and more uninteresting for a zone stter over time. When she first came out she shocied everyone, bit that was just becase we hadnt seen the power of zones yet. Nowadays, she far less interesting of a zone setter than SS Diantha, SS Wally or heck, even Lucas imo.
But just because shes not as interesting anymore doesnt mean shes bad by any means, and shes definitely not carried by her zone (unlike a certain sunway master). With or without zone, Shadow Ball and Shadow Force hit super hard to ten point that its difficult to even keep the opponents alove for some showcases. Do I think she’s a better pick up than Tapus or the Clan Leaders? …no. SSR Cynthia is a very outdated zone setter glint up against threee of the best, while the other three also have very strong field effects as well. But if your like me and either want to pull a favorite or you wnat every zone in the game, shes still not a bad pull at all. (Though if your considering the latter, I’d probably just go for Irida first). Overall, while she’s slightly dated, she’s still a powerful zone setter who is well worth your time, just not quite as in comparison to the more recent one imo. Enjoy!
(FYI, every Acerola stage will have HP +4 simply due to how quickly the stage dies without it)

0:58 Master Passive go brrr
Fantina is the only Sinnoh unit I have that pairs with Cynthia’s master passive, excluding supports. So naturally her damage is going to be increased more than the other ghosts types, and it definitely shows. I like to think that Fantina didn’t get any Shadow Ball buffs just because of Renegade Cynthia lol. SC Lillie is here for buff hastening and type skills.

This was definitely the most surprising one to me. Like I knew Shauntal was good now, but jeez I wasn’t expecting Shadow Ball to do that much! Heck, even the sync did insane damage despite the lack of CS2. Not bad at all!

This took more attempts than I am willing to admit lol (it ain’t reach double digits, but it’s still not pretty 😅). Agatha has much more difficult multipliers to for her dps compared to Shauntal, but even with a little bit of Brainteaser’s multipliers she still hits hard. It’s just difficult to maintain ghost zone with 1/5 SSR Cynthia for consistent clears, but Agatha can still clear stages with relative ease.

My OG Ghost sweeper. Morty nowadays is straight up just bad. He can still solo, now especially being the easiest he could solo a stage thanks to the new parameters, but he just doesn’t cut it in terms of his dps in the modern day. That being said, he’s not bad whatsoever in zone, he can still beat a stage with ease especially with his best pall NY Lillie. I feel like I should bring up those insane evasion procs form this clear as well, dang

Allister surprised me, even though he realistically shouldn’t have. Like, yeah he’s the newest of the Ghost general pools, of course he’s going to be doing insane damage. Literally used Allister’s weakest move to ensure Acerola stayed alive to even sync with Allister, it was that good lol.

I still don’t like Hex Maniac that much, but her kit is still pretty decent for an event f2p and her ____ in zone did not disappoint. SS Brendan was inevitable with so much Special dps, but I deceive to use him with Helena so I could start getting paralysis quicker.

By best I mean favorite, but really, what’s the difference? I actually wanted to show her without the Five Stats x3 parameter to show how strong she can still be without it and she more than proved my point!
SS Morty may seem weird at first, but he actually helps her a lot with Afflicter’s Advantage maxing Korrina’s attack and TM in sun maxing her crit. Not a bad pull if she reruns soon 👀
