Rakesh Yadav, a youth from Uttar Pradesh, returned to India after serving eight months in the Russian army during its ongoing war against Ukraine. He revealed that more than 25 other youth from India remain stuck in the war zone. Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Rajya Sabha member, brought the issue to the attention of the Union Ministry of External Affairs for Yadav’s release. He was accompanied by the families of five other youths still trapped in Russia, with no contact from their loved ones.
