Frak Longplay (C64) [50 FPS]

Описание к видео Frak Longplay (C64) [50 FPS]

Developed and published by State Soft in 1985.

Guide Trogg, a cave-man with some mean yo-yo skills, as he leaps and bounds around 6 different levels in a mission to collect keys to find the exit.

On each stage, there are many platforms with ladders and ropes to climb. Trogg can't fall very far, so you have to find the correct route through each level.

Many of the platforms have large monsters on them that can be dispatched by hitting them with the yo-yo. In fact, part of the strategy involves flicking your yo-yo off-screen to eliminate enemies so that you can jump to the platform they were occupying.

To complicate matters, balloon fly up from the bottom of the screen, whilst stiletto-like daggers appear from the top; all of which must be avoided or destroyed with the yo-yo.

Frak was originally released on the BBC Micro home computer, but someone decided to do a port for the C64. I remember owning a copy, but the tape never worked and the game locked up once the first level loaded, so I was never able to play it properly.

The big, chunky sprites are quite jolly and there's a different background tune on each stage to liven things up. Unfortunately, the game is actually quite short with only 6 different levels to play before the game starts looping.

Enjoy!
