This is how to enable the level select cheat for Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for Mega Drive/Genesis.

Here is the link to the save state http://bit.ly/1RUURSd this was saved using Kega Fusion and is in GSX format, I believe this will also open in Gens and probably some other Mega Drive emulators. You may need the exact ROM for this to work.
