Prepaid Rent

This video shows how to account for the asset Prepaid Rent. An example is presented to illustrate how Prepaid Rent is initially recognized and then expensed over time using adjusting journal entries. This video does NOT discuss lease accounting or the difference between capital leases and operating leases. The video is simply intended to introduce the concept of Prepaid Rent in financial accounting.
