Central Ladprao (Central Lifts) - OTIS OH5000 Traction Lifts

Описание к видео Central Ladprao (Central Lifts) - OTIS OH5000 Traction Lifts

At Central Dept. Store in Central Ladprao, we have some OTIS OH5000 lifts! These lifts were replaced from 80s Mitsubishi in 2011. Quite a shame that they didn’t modernise these into newer Mitsubishis tho, they would be much smoother and more efficient than these. These use rather basic fixtures, with BR27A buttons and UI 2 indicators with “Aurora” background. The interesting thing about the buttons on the inside panel light is that they light up red rather than blue, which is quite rare. But these lifts’ speed used to be 1.75 m/s, which is quite fast. But the management team somehow decided to decrease the speed to 1.2 m/s, which is actually quite slow for a busy mall like this. If they want to decrease the speed, they should just decrease it into 1.5 or 1.6 m/s, that’s a reasonable speed in my opinion. But they still kept that fast acceleration tho. These have glass doors like most Otis lifts that Central uses, with frames only on the upper and the lower part of the doors. But Central loves to install advertisements on the external doors, so you can’t really see the outside from the inside anyway. (except floor 6 which is not Central but it’s a cinema known as SFX Cinema so there are no ads on the external doors but there are ads above the lift doors lol!) These lifts use “rectangle” (or maybe square) hall lanterns above the doors, like one in Central Chaengwattana, Central Pattaya and Central Pinklao, which are Mitsubishi lifts. Newer Otis lifts in newer Central Dept. Stores just use standard “European-style” Otis hall lantern, so this type of hall lantern is quite unique for Otis lifts in Central Dept. Stores.

NOTE: This was filmed in August before the I film the Tower lifts (which was filmed on October 13th), but I uploaded this later than the Tower lifts video for some reasons.
