There's a lot of conflicting information online about what you should and shouldn't include on a resume, but don't worry - we're here to help! There's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution for writing an effective resume. The best way to craft an effective resume is to learn how to tell your story and adapt to your audience (a.k.a. your prospective employer). That's what this Berry College Resume 101 series is all about: empowering you to tell your story so you can accomplish your professional goals.

This video is Part 2 of the Berry College Resume 101 series. For more information on what a resume is, how to summarize your experiences, and what formatting works best, check out the other Resume 101 videos in this playlist or on our website at berry.edu/ppd.

*Note: If you've been out of college and in the workforce for a few years, some of the information in this video will not apply to you. More specifically, as you gain applied work experience after college, the Education section of your resume should move to the bottom because that context isn't as important as it is for students and recent graduates who lack depth of experience. It's also more common for professionals with 5+ years of work experience to include a Professional Summary or Profile section between their Contact Information and Related Work Experience sections to summarize key skills and qualifications.
