Contemporary product design practice is evolving as reaction of global instances and requires designers to adopt a new design-oriented attitude to properly work with global markets, which are raising the attention toward the creation of enabling solutions that are both socially inclusive and sustainable. Accordingly, Universities in the European territory are asked to improve the curricular activities to provide learners enrolled in Design programmes the opportunity to get novel cultural notions, methodological frameworks, design skills, and advanced project management competencies to properly face such emerging instances in a creative way.

The Erasmus+ BIP project entitled “InDeSIS – Innovative Product Design for Social Inclusion and Sustainability” is an innovative teaching and learning activity developed by the Design Gruop at the "Gabriele d'Annunzio" University of Chieti-Pescara (UdA, Italy) in collaboration with the Slovak Technological University in Bratislava (STU, Slovakia), the University of Minho (UMINHO, Portugal), and the University of Applied Sciences Berlin (HTW, Germany) HTW, which are subscribers of Erasmus+ programme. The project also involved COESUM, a local company specialised in Additive Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping.

This video provides an overview of the in-studio session held at the Department of Architecture of "Gabriele d'Annunzio" University of Chieti-Pescara in Italy in June 2024.
