With the three sculptural cabinets, the Mexico-based studio seeks to sensitise individuals towards the violence of objectification and counter the all-pervasive consumer culture. Andrea Flores and Lucía Soto, founders of the Mexican design studio, cite the simple acts of caring and being cared for, as the idea that guided the concept of this collection. Traditionally used materials and crafting techniques were employed to build the three timeless pieces, in order to assert the value of objects beyond their use and discard cycle.
