This mode is unlocked by killing 1000 Old Axe Armors 😆. Only one character (which can be troublesome in the Death boss fight) with very limited options in what it can do (but can be used quite effectively in some situations, especially holding up the axe which can do lot of hits quicky; the Refined Edition mod adds a slide-like move that can come in handy).
