Cologne Celtics GAA was established by a group of friends in order to bring the Gaelic Games to the West of Germany and to the people of North Rhine-Westphalia!

Although the club got off to a relatively slow start in a city saturated by various sports clubs, Cologne Celtics players have been regularly sending players to the European Hurling & Camogie Championships each season and competing alongside European GAA clubs. In 2016 several Cologne GAA players were even selected to represent the European and German Hurling teams at the GAA World Games, held in the Irish capital Dublin.
