4K | Smögen, Hamburgsund, Fjällbacka, Grebbestad, Resö | driving tour along Sweden's west coast 2023

Welcome to A&A travelling and to our driving tour along Sweden`s west coast. Smögen is one of the most popular destinations on the Swedish west coast well known for its fish, prawns and other seafood, and one of Sweden`s few fish market is located here. There is also an extensive nightlife scene, with many bars, clubs and concert venues open during the summer.

Hamburgsund is a village in Tanum Municipality and is located both on the mainland and the island of Hamburgö. Between the two areas you can go with a cable ferry which is operating in the 130 metter wide Hamburgsund channel.

Grebbestad town is located in Tanum Municipality. There are around 1,400 inhabitants, though this number can increase by as much as ten-fold during the summer. The town is the harbour where the majority of Norway oysters and lobsters are landed.

Fjällbacka is a small fishing village in Tanum. The place takes its name from the large mountain called Fjället, which overlooks the village. The old part of the village with its picturesque archipelago
buildings lies at the foot mountain by the sea, while the more recently built part is located in the fields further inland. fjällbacka archipelago lies just off the coast, and far out to the west are Väderöarna.

Grebbestad. The coastal resort of Grebbestad in tanum offers entertainment and dinner experiences all year round. It also contains a number of interesting relics related to the older cultures of southern Europe. Grebbestad is one of Bohuslän`s most popular seaside resorts. As in so many other places in Bohuslän, fishing and seafaring has in the past been significant industries, and even today there are still severall fishing trawler left in Grebbestad.
Just south of the city is the tourist facility Tanumstrand offering a variety of activities all year round.
In the area around Grebbestad are also several interesting ancient monuments, such as a stone labyrinth and an ancient castle.

Resö is located in Tanum Municipality archipelago. Along the island`s beaches you can get a guided tour of Kosterhavet - Sweden`s first marine national park. Resö is an island with marina, year-round
open grocery store, Bed & breakfast, restaurants, camping, boat charter and bakery.
