I think we in the youtube community tend to think about design, design history and the design process a little too simplistically and too romantically. As a result we venerate a small number of watches and denegrate a large number of others. I analyse this idea through the lens of the luxury sport watch, how the royal oak created a class out of a need to solve a commercial problem, the rules of that class and look at how other brands play with those rules.

As well as Chopard and Audemar Piguet, I look at Patek, Bell and Ross, Hublot, Girard Perregaux, Piaget, Cartier and others.
