Growing Ginger from Rhizome Cuttings, Days 16-20

This video covers days 16-20 of a ginger rhizome germination experiment. A small, half-used ginger rhizome from a supermarket was chopped up into 6 pieces and treated under the same conditions to see if each piece could develop into an independent ginger plant. This documentary miniseries contains scientific commentary and goes into the fine details and explanations behind what is being done to the ginger rhizome cuttings to maximize growth, without following the typical recommendations for growing this species (Zingiber officinale) to the letter, or even having read about said recommendations beforehand.
