How to Make Paper Waterproof | Using Watercolor in Coloring Books

Several years ago I published a video showing how to make paper waterproof. Using this technique makes it possible to use watercolor products in coloring books and on coloring pages. I recently came across a new-to-me product that I just had to try–the Daniel Smith Watercolor Ground Iridescent Gold. The original Daniel Smith Transparent Watercolor Ground is my favorite medium for making paper watercolor safe for gouache, watercolor pencils, water brush pens, watercolor paints and more. So the thought of adding an iridescent gold to a watercolor ground sounded amazing!
