In my last video, I shared how I lost relationship equity with my kids. But I never told y’all how I got it back. This video is for every father out there who feels like they’ve blown it—like the damage is done and the bridge is burned. I'm here to tell you, that’s not the truth. Reconciliation is possible.

In this video, I break down the three things that helped me start rebuilding trust with my children:

I took a risk.

I got interested in what they care about.

I recognized the greatness in them—even when they couldn’t see it yet.

I talk through personal stories—missing out on big opportunities just to show up for a hockey game, playing Barbies and Beyblades, and discovering my son’s gift for storytelling through curiosity. It wasn’t always easy, but it’s been worth it.

This isn’t just about parenting—it’s about healing, about growth, about choosing connection over comfort. About doing the deep inner work and matching it with real, present-time effort. Especially with Father’s Day around the corner, this is the reminder: our kids want us. They want peace. They want you.
