One Life to Live 5/17/1991

On the morning of the wedding Megan runs around Llanfair, frantically obsessing over last-minute details, while Jake calmly drinks coffee and does the crossword at Andy’s Place. Lucky can’t believe how cool and collected the groom-to-be is. Andy serves Jake breakfast and tells him to enjoy his last few hours as a free man, at which point the nerves finally hit him. At Asa’s stables, LeeAnn starts to get a little nervous herself, worried she’ll ruin Megan’s wedding. Max convinces her she’s going to do great, and tells her Megan is very excited. He helps LeeAnn get into her costume as the coach driver. Bo and Alex finish up decorating the church. Cassie arrives, saying she got a message Bo wanted to see her. Alex offers to clue Cassie in, but Bo asks Alex to check on the boutonnieres instead. Bo asks Cassie to cover the wedding for The Banner, since their society editor is on assignment. Alex, still harboring jealousy of Cassie, and resenting Bo’s earlier brush-off, hides one of the boutonnieres and tells Bo they’re one short. A woman from social services brings Carlo’s niece, Stephanie Hobart (Christiaan Mills), to stay with him. Stephanie is nervous to meet her uncle; Charlotte and Carlo try to put her at ease. Renee asks Kim to keep an eye on the small children during the ceremony. Lucky is freaking out because he can’t find the rings, but Jake says he didn’t give it to him yet. He hands Lucky the ring, but it falls right through his pocket and they have to crawl around on the floor to look for it. Izzy comes to pick up Wanda and gives Jake a flashlight. The men are able to find the ring. With that crisis handled, Jake is disheartened to discover that Lucky forgot to book the limo to get them to the church.

As guests begin to arrive at the church, Hunter and Max show people to their seats. Troy is excited for the reception, so he can show off his newfound dancing skills. Herb is very excited when Cassie tells him she’s staying in town. Alex seems less than thrilled when she is seated next to Cassie. Lucky drives himself and Jake to the church, but after taking a wrong turn, his car runs out of gas and breaks down. At the church, Hunter and Tony start to worry that the groom hasn’t arrived yet. They go outside in time to see two motorcycle gang members pull up to the church, with Lucky and Jake on the backs of their hogs. A few minutes later, the bridesmaids gather on the front steps of the church to meet Megan and Roger, in their horse and carriage. Inside the church, Jake steps up to the altar just before the wedding procession begins.
