Today we are removing and refitting the battery tray on a mk5 VW Golf TDI this can be done with the airbox still in place, but I found it easier to remove it follow this link    • Volkswagen Golf Mk5 1.9 TDI (BXE) Air Box ...   with a tutorial on how to remove the air box.

Tools needed,
10mm spanner
3/8 ratchet
3/8 medium to long extension
3/8 10mm socket
3/8 13mm socket

When we say tighten it up if it needs torquing that is down to you to find the necessary settings not us, as all vehicles are different.
