About Colle delle Finestre:
Challenging and beautiful… Colle delle Finestre offers some of the best cycling in Italy, so no wonder it has been the choice of Giro d’Italia many times. But be aware that this is a hardcore ride. Not only does it have an average grade of 8.67 over 19.1 km, but half of it is on gravel. This is definitely an ‘out of category’ (hors catégorie) ride. The first half of the ride goes through a cool and shady forest with approximately 30 hairpins. This is the perfect place to escape the hot summer sun and concentrate on cycling. But once you are out of the shade there is no mercy. The tarmac turns into gravel and you’ll need extra stamina to finish the last half. Nevertheless, your hard work will be rewarded with amazing alpine scenery. If you finish and reach the top of the pass (and not everybody does that), you have finished one of the great legendary Italian climbs.

Adding music to the ride:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is awesome. But when it comes to music opinions are very mixed. This is why we do not add music to our rides. We simply do not want to spoil your ride with music you do not like. But it is quite simple to add it yourself. Open an extra browser tab. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) and pick the music you like and enjoy the ride...
