A teenage boy named Derek Johnson spends the last hours of daylight riding at a local BMX track. His parents, Luke and Shanyn become concerned when Derek begins breathing differently. Derek, who has suffered with asthma since birth, wakes in the middle of the night having a severe asthma attack. Luke and Shanyn decide to drive to the nearest hospital. While in the car, Derek’s airways begin to close. Shanyn unable to help, holds Derek in her arms as he stops breathing. With no time left Luke must race to save his sons life.
