This is how I make wide-rim cone-shaped mugs from clay using the slab pottery technique. Slab pottery is a great way to make beautifully proportioned and evenly shaped pottery mugs. These slab mugs are great for tea and coffee, but also wonderful for hot chocolate, as you get maximum room for marshmallows. You can get a copy of the pottery pattern below.
