Unveiling the Do 32: Germany's Revolutionary Ultra-Light Helicopter

The Do 32 ultra-light helicopter, designed by the Donier company in Germany, featured a unique folding design that allowed it to be stored in a small container and assembled in just 5 minutes. It was powered by a gas turbine engine that drove an air compressor to generate rotational power for the rotor blades, and had a rudimentary cockpit and onboard equipment.

Despite its innovative design, only 3 prototypes of the Do 32 were produced and none were put into mass production or service. The aircraft's rudimentary structure and limited onboard equipment made it unsuitable for military tasks, but its quick assembly and unique design could have potential military applications.
