In the wild world of Shounen Manga & Anime, The Fullmetal Alchemist series finds itself in a very peculiar position. Like many of its contemporaries, many find the FMA struggles out of the gate and takes a hot minute to really find its stride. What I want to discuss is what I feel the beginning of FMA does right and wrong, and how this would affect the two anime adaptions of FMA in the future, Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
