8/16/2024 - Colorado River mile 77.2. Class VIII Hance rapid on day six of sixteen on a private trip from Lee's Ferry to Pearce Ferry. We saw two lines to enter the rapid when scouting from the left that morning. Carey and Isaiah ran the narrow entrance on river left, the other three rafts attempted to run the right line and catch "Duck Pond eddy". The oarsman of first of those rafts attempting the right line went too far right and was ejected. He swam most of Hance and Son of Hance. There were no injuries and he was helped into the raft at the bottom of Son of Hance.
