Antibiotic resistance is already one of the main global health challenges. Mariamo Mussa explains the posibilities of using quantum technologies for the design of antibiotics, following her recent research in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn).

Starting from a random peptide chain, they compare it with a pool of AMPs (antimicrobial peptides) to replicate the structure and functions.
