Advent Calendar 2021: Day 25 || World of Tanks

The Advent Calendar deal for day 25 (which is only available for cash, not for gold, and is up for 5 days) is the tier 8 Italian auto-reloading heavy tank, the Bisonte. The Bisconte features excellent gun depression and a fairly reliable turret along with decent mobility and acceptable penetration. The low-ish alpha damage (360) is somewhat offset by the 3-round magazine that it gets. You also get the flexibility of the auto-reloading mechanic which means you can shoot one or two shots and start reloading just those shots while still being able to shoot the last one in a pinch if you need to, as opposed to conventional autoloaders that are totally vulnerable during their drum reload. The cost of that flexibility is the fact that the reload between shells is rather long, and only gets longer the deeper into the magazine you get. For that reason the effective DPM of the Bisonte is rather low, and players will only do well in this tank if they can manage their magazine and manage enemy engagements so that they can stay out of the “deep reload” as often as possible to maximize their DPM. Use the clip when you need it, but afterwards you’ll be out of the fight for quite some time.
