A little slower row than anticipated but knew the workout started once you hit the toes to bar. Was hoping to stay close to 2:00 500m pace but it drifted between 2:03-2:06 the entire time. Went conservative with the toes to bar. Sets of 6 and 5 til 40 and then needed to drop to 4s. Not ideal but the workout was getting grippy. By the time I hit the clean and jerks I was about a minute behind the pace I wanted. Grabbing the bar I had no idea if I was going to be able to hold onto the clean (reason #256 why I need to learn a hook grip). Went singles and was relatively good about not stepping back. Had a big break at rep 33, my brain turned off for some reason and I just didn’t push there despite being so close to the end. Overall happy with the effort at the end. Give this one a go!
