In this episode of The Newshour Agenda, the host Padmaja Joshi will discuss how Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), shelled out Rs 44.78 crore during the Corona period simply to beautify (renovate or polish) his official mansion in the nation's capital. A curtain costing up to eight lakh rupees was put in the CM's home, according to the records that surfaced during the inquiry during the operation. The curtains erected in the CM house cost a total of one crore rupees. There were 23 curtains ordered in all, some of which have already been installed and others which have not. Eight curtains were placed at first (in 2021–2022), costing 45 lakhs, and 15 curtains were purchased in the second phase, costing roughly 51 lakhs. The records also indicated that Kejriwal's official residence's marble came from a Vietnamese import. One crore 15 lakh rupees is the price of the Dior Pearl Marble of Superior Class, whose fitting is also carried out in a unique and unusual manner.
