UK Defence Review: A return to hard power?

The UK is to shift its focus away from Europe and towards Indo-Pacific countries - including India, Japan and China.

In fact, China was highlighted as the biggest threat to UK economic security in the UK defence review.

Britain will also reverse a reduction in its nuclear warheads, raising the prospect of a nuclear response to catastrophic chemical, biological or even cyber threats.
