Plaveč Castle is a castle ruin on a gentle hill above the village of Plaveč in the Stará Ľubovňa district in the Prešov Region. It is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The castle was built at the end of the 13th century as a border fortress. At present, you can recognize it by its characteristic silhouette, which is a high wall with windows. The castle has been renovated since 2014. Nevertheless, you can visit it and enjoy the beautiful view from the castle hill.
