Rhyl Miniature Railway

We visited the UK's oldest miniature railway! Rhyl Miniature Railway was opened on 1st May 1911 and has been keeping tourists and locals entertained for over 100 years! Despite having visited Rhyl quite often and spent a lot of time on holiday in nearby Towyn, I had in fact never ridden the railway. So on a slightly damp Easter weekend we decided to head on over for a look see.

Such a cute railway! The trip takes you around Rhyl's famous Marine Lake. One round trip cost us £12 for the 4 of us so not bad at all. And they also have a lovely little museum with interactive fun things for the little kids as well as fascinating stuff for big kids like me.

Very friendly staff and thank you to the Easter bunny for helping my kids find the letters for the Easter egg hunt! Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!
