Doherty Institute Media Conference_COVID-19 Vaccines with special guest Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert

The Doherty Institute had the pleasure to invite preeminent vaccinologists for a discussion on COVID-19 - challenges, lessons learnt and where to next - in a media conference hosted by Melbourne Laureate Professor Sharon Lewin, Director of the Doherty Institute.

We had the pleasure to welcome:
Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert, who initiated and led the rapid production and development of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine against SARS-CoV-2,
Professor Terry Nolan from the Doherty Institute, who led the Phase I trial of two novel Melbourne-made SARS-CoV-2 vaccines as a fourth dose booster, and
Professor Paul Young from The University of Queensland, who co-led an Australian consortium that also developed a COVID-19 vaccine candidate in 2020, based on an innovative UQ patented platform technology.
