Himayat sagar lake is an artificial lake and the second largest lake in Hyderabad city located in Himayat nagar.

It was built in the year 1920 by the last nizam of Hyderabad “MIR OSMAN ALI KHAN” on the name of his elder son “HIMAYAT ALI KHAN”

Main intention to construct this artificial lake is to secure Hyderabad from floods and it was cost almost 93 lakhs in the year 1920.

Please visit this lake from 5am to 8am. We request you to avoid this illegal way to get in. We unfortunately follow this way by mistake.
