V0018 Slab City The Ponderosa

The Ponderosa is the most organized hostel within Slab City. The people who run it are friendly and hospitable. While visiting I was welcomed with open arms. I had a very long conversation with the guy who runs it that ranged from philosophy and theology to technology and communal behavior. A most enlightening conversation if I do say so myself. While there I made some good acquaintances who I hope to be able to see again on my next visit. They offer breakfast every morning worthy of the most picky of food critics. I was even offered seconds at no additional cost though the first plate was more than enough to fill me up. I don't remember the prices though I can say that it was more than reasonable... trust me, you won't be disappointed if you decide to eat at this establishment. I give it a 4 and half star rating. Not to worry if you decide to lay your head elsewhere though, you can still eat here even if you are not residing here during your stay at Slab City.
