4K Lao New Year @ Wat Market San Diego

Kallen and I went to celebrate Lao New Year at Wat Lao Buddaharam. I hadn't been there in ages. I saw family and old friends there. Kallen and I first stopped by our friend, KellyNoi, to help out a little. Kallen stayed and I went walking around checking out the food stalls. The food was great, music was fun, and got to relax before the people started to come in and it got full. The Mayor of San Diego, Todd Gloria, came to partake in the Lao New Year celebration. This was the first time ever that our mayor joined us. Sadly I wasn't able to get footage of his speech. The District 4 will soon be changed and named Lao town. It is great to see the progress of our Lao people within our community and also the city of San Diego. The leadership, unlike before, is putting in time and effort to uplift our people moving forward. The month of April now shall be considered “Lao Heritage” month. There was lots of footage so I made the video into twp parts. This is all for now. I will edit and upload the second part very soon.
