I've enjoyed having a play with this set of pencils, the colour seem bright and vivid, and I've enjoyed they lay down with them. Like all watercolour pencils they work better on paper with a bit more texture, but all these surfaces have worked well. For the money I think these are a great introduction to watercolour pencils.
