How to show Non Working Days & Holidays in Primavera P6

Primavera P6 enables users to shows Gantt chart for daily, weekly, quarterly intervals. For projects with long duration, it is not recommended to shows Time scale on daily basis as there is no enough space to fill complete details instead it become not readable for users, however for small projects e.g. for Design and 2-3 weeks/months lookahead, daily time scale is beneficial for the users to see relevant details for working/nor-working days and holidays.
To show non-working days and holidays on Gantt chart, following setting are required in software i.e.
1) Mark all non-working days and Holidays in the GLOBAL CALENDAR
2) DATE INTERVALE to be adjusted for Week/Days
3) Sight Line (Minor) to be selected as Days
It is advisable to create separate layouts for LOOKAHEAD and for small durations to enable the users for fast assess, in addition to this, we need to remove un-necessary columns from the layout to acquire more space (in-fact vertical Group bands to be shrink for space)
For the print-out, Start and Finish date of the Gantt chart to be specified as appropriate, for Baseline Updated program, start can be considered as Data Date (DD - 2days), and finish date as (DD + 63days), we need to adjust the time scale to FIT PAGE. Modify Headers and footer for your project
In this way we can create beautiful layouts ready for submission to Client/Engineer.
