My 'hyper-modern' take on a scene from Fritz Lang's 1927 'Metropolis'.

I was tasked with creating a score for this pre-existing scene entirely out of samples and hardware synths, mixing in Dolby Atmos. Every sound used is my own creation. I decided to use elements of hyperpop, trap and traditional soundtrack elements (hyperscore).

(For those interested) Metropolis is seen as one of the best German Expressionist films ever made. Lang's exploration into early science fiction paved the way for the genre and it's impact on pop culture is still seen today throughout multiple science fiction and action movies. The visual effects were extremely advanced for the time and included techniques still used by filmmakers today. 'Metropolis' was the most expensive film ever released at the time.
