Seymour Health Centre was established and proudly serving the Greater Vancouver community since 1937. We are Western Canada’s largest medical clinic offering Primary Care Physicians, Specialists and Nursing support, all under one roof.

An additional service and opportunity of Seymour Health Centre is the Urgent Primary Care Centre (UPCC). It is for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries when patients are unable to see their family doctor or care provider. These include injuries and illnesses that should be addressed by a health care provider within 12 to 24 hours, but do not require the level of service or expertise found in an emergency department. With the most urgent patients seen and cared for first, the UPCC will provide care for those experiencing injuries and illnesses such as: sprains and strains; cuts, wounds or skin conditions; high fever; infections, including chest, ear and urinary tract; asthma attacks; new or worsening pain; dehydration/constipation; and less serious child illness and injury.

This additional service is set in the community, working in concert with all touch points for care to provide appropriate urgent services to patients, when and where they need it. To expand and enhance care in this community through the opening of the UPCC, we offer extended hours of care: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.
