I’m trying to find out if anyone has successfully gotten a refund or replacement from ‪@maytag‬ or @Whirlpool after repeated washer failures. I bought a Maytag MVW7230HW1 in September 2023, and it has never worked reliably.

The washer has had constant issues. It throws F2E2 errors, fails to fill, shuts down in the middle of cycles, or just clicks repeatedly and won’t start. Sometimes it twists the clothes without ever adding water, then stops and turns off. It gets stuck in sensing or wash modes. It usually needs to be unplugged and reset just to attempt another cycle. The F2E2 code is supposed to mean a communication failure between the UI and the control board. That code has come back multiple times, even after parts were replaced.

After each service, the washer might work for a few days or weeks, then the problems start again. I’ve had several official repairs through a Maytag-authorized technician. Parts were replaced, including at least the UI or control board, and possibly the shift actuator. The last tech left a part behind and told me to contact Maytag again because the issue was still unresolved. Maytag did cover one or more of the repairs, but the washer is clearly not fixed.

I've also dealt with three physical units total. The first two were delivered by Lowe’s but were defective on arrival. They were never fully installed or left at the house because they wouldn’t operate at all. The delivery crew took them straight back to the truck. The one I have now is the third, and it has never worked right either.

I’ve asked Maytag to buy it back or replace it under their product failure policy. I’m trying to find out if anyone else has successfully gotten a refund, replacement, or buyback after repeated breakdowns and failed repairs.

If you’ve been through something like this, what worked for you? Did you escalate to Whirlpool corporate, post on social media, or go through legal channels?

Any advice or stories would be helpful. I just want a washer that works.
