A mega chateau has gone up for sale at £9 million (€10.6m) – and while most people might not consider the price a bargain, it might be when you consider what you'll get for your cash.

The magnificent rolling grounds were designed by landscape gardener Edouard Renon and feature elements particularly en vogue in the 18th century.

Constructed in a V-shape, the property boasts monumental reception rooms and superb decorative features, from hand-carved finishes to stained-glass windows.

The mega mansion also includes domed ceilings with detailed alfresco style paintings such as cranes and angels.

Every room oozes opulence, which extends to the furniture; from tapestries to salon-style chairs and crystal chandeliers.

A huge library can also be found on a set of balconies above one of the vast reception areas.
