(DEC 06, 2022) In this video I chased the GIO/Trillium Railway St.Catharines Job from Merritton, to Steelcon and Kemira.

They start off by reversing their train out of the siding in Merritton which is the end of the Thorold spur, this took considerable effort with a relatively heavy train on wet rails.

The next clip includes LDSX 4003 pulling unfinished NS coil shields built by National Steel Car in Hamilton, ON, as well as a tanker for Kemira down the south main track of CN's Grimsby subdivision so that they can use the crossover at CN Glenridge so that the may access the Grantham spur, only accessible from the north main track.

the next clip is a bonus clip of VIA 97 passing by CN Glenridge (mile 9.9 CN Grimsby subdivision) with Amtrak P42DC 109 powering 6 Budd Amfleet coaches, on its way to Niagara Falls and on to NYC.

The next clip shows LDSX 4003 and its train crossing the busy Merritt street on the Grantham or NS&T spur which intersects with Seymour Ave at the crossing.

The following clip takes place at Lincoln Avenue, further north along the Grantham/NS&T spur

Further up the line, it arrives at Eastchester Avenue and Yale crescent where they would uncouple their train, and head to Steelcon as light power to lift finished NS coil shields.

Once tied on, LDSX 4003 would pull the finished coil shields out of Steelcon on the Trenergy spur and Lakeshore spur, where they would head back to their train to couple back on

Next, they would shove the entire consist (minus the tanker) down the Lakeshore and Trenergy spur to set off the unfinished shields.

After that they would pull the finished shields out again and set them off, grab the sole tanker and head to Kemira via the TR Welland Avenue Industrial Lead, which is used very seldomly. This clip shows LDSX 4003 shoving the sole tanker into Kemira Paper Chemicals Canada Ltd. for the setoff.

After the setoff, LDSX 4003 is seen departing Kemira southbound, light power long hood forward, and crossing Welland Avenue.

The final clip shows LDSX 4003 making the curve that crosses Berryman Avenue and Yale Crescent on the TR Welland Avenue Industrial Lead to rejoin with the Grantham/NS&T spur to tie back onto the finished coil shields, and head back to Welland.
