Starting the four engines of a Boeing 747-400, for checks.
Engines 1, 2 and 4 are checked for leaks after maintenance check (N2 motoring pad + fuel filter).
Engine 3 has been replaced, so the checks go further: power assurance test, reverse check, supply bleed air, and so on...

Engine 3 is pushed to about 80%. If the essential parameters match (fuel flow, EGT, N2, N1, oil temp/pressure), the engine is declared serviceable. Engine 2 is also pushed to have symetric thrust, and avoid the aircraft to spin around!
