Pregnancy is a precious time when nothing we do can be enough to keep both the mother and the baby safe. It's a commitment from the mother's side as well as from her Obstetrician. We doctors have intuition, coming from years of practice but in the end, we do need to depend on tests to find out if there are any risk factors in the pregnancy or how the baby's growth is ensuing. Unfortunately, while everyone desires a healthy pregnancy and its outcomes, there are a lot of eyebrows that are raised when it comes to tests being performed during pregnancy.
