Parthiban Kanavu Tamil Full Movie starring Gemini Ganesan and Vyjayanthimala. Directed by D Yoganand, produced by V Govindarajan and music by Vedha. Parthiban Kanavu also stars SA Ashokan, SV Ranga Rao and PS Veerappa.

SA Ashokan (Parthiban), the Chola King, demise in battle leaving incomplete his desire to be free from the yoke of the Pallavas. His son Gemini Ganesan(Vikraman) is determined to fulfill his father's dream. He is arrested by the Pallava king, SV Ranga Rao (Narasimhavarman) and exiled to an island where he is chosen the king. Gemini Ganesan returns to the mainland to see his mother and by robbers. SV Ranga Rao, in the guise of a sage and who has been helping Gemini Ganesan constantly rescues him. Gemini Ganesan weds Vyjayanthimala, SV Ranga Rao's daughter, and rules over the independent Chola Kingdom thus fulfilling his father's dream.
