* Stations Nearing Completion in Gujarat*
The Ministry of Railways announced that Gujarat’s stations on the corridor are nearing completion, featuring sleek modern architecture, cultural motifs, seamless connectivity, and eco-friendly design—aiming to offer a next-generation travel experience.

* Project Scope & Stations*
The corridor spans approximately 508 km, featuring 12 stations—four in Maharashtra (Bandra-Kurla Complex, Thane, Virar, Boisar) and eight in Gujarat.

* Reduced Travel Time*
When operational, express services will cover the journey in just 2 hours and 7 minutes (limited stop) or under 3 hours for all-stop services.

* Timeline & Opening Expectations*

The Gujarat section is expected to be completed by December 2028.

According to NHSRCL, progress as of August, 2025 includes:

Over 50% of pier construction complete in Maharashtra

100% land acquisition across Gujarat and Dadra & Nagar Haveli for ~289 km

Rapid track-laying and station construction underway

Underground station development ongoing at Mumbai’s BKC
This signals the project is advancing toward a potential 2028 completion, though official inauguration dates are yet to be announced.

* Latest Project Milestones*

Tunnel work (~21 km between BKC and Shilphata) is actively under construction, with significant progress achieved

In Gujarat, noise-barrier installation, track-bed construction, and OHE mast placements are advancing rapidly

Structural work is nearly finished at 6 of the 8 stations in Gujarat
