Step 1: Begin by doodling the handle of the spanner on a 45-degree angle as shown in the example. Try and keep the gap between the lines equal.

Step 2: Use curved and straight lines to doodle the head of the spanner. You can either doodle the head in one stroke, or you can doodle it in pieces.

Step 3: Now we want to doodle a pencil. Because the pencil will be placed behind the spanner, we need to doodle it in two pieces. Use straight lines for this purpose as shown in the example.

Step 4: Add the finishing touches to the pencil by doodling the ends. Again, use straight lines and arcs to get the desired effects in place.

Step 5: Now add some shading to your doodle to give it more of a 3-dimensional feel. And finally, add some color to your doodle to give it character and personality. ;)
